Ottawa Ranked #1 Amongst Large Cities

Ottawa_Best_Place

We in North Grenville know that this is truly an awesome place to call home. We have it all; town, country, new homes, vintage homes, large yards, acreage, access to top notch stores, recreational facilities, the revitalization of Old Town Kemptville and more.

I think it is important for us to continue (or start) to really strut our stuff when it comes to pitching our wonderful community to friends, relatives and colleagues. The North Grenville slogan “Green and Growing” certainly applies and the future is indeed a sunny one for us. Business has an eye on our township as an ideal potential location for setting up shop and Home Buyers keep on coming here as well.

All of this is to say that we, as a satellite community of Ottawa, are in a great position to continue to build our community in a very positive way. Home prices have “normalized” in the past few years and are now relatively stable.

So do get out there and sing our song to potential new North Grenville-ites. Let’s not be a best kept secret!

The following is from a recent Royal LePage blog post.

Wow! Ottawa ranked #1 amongst large cities and #2 overall in MoneySense’s Canada’s Best Places to Live 2015 rankings!

We’ve always loved Ottawa but with a resurgence in amazing restaurants, arts and culture, farmers markets and start up companies like Shopify making headlines, in recent years our national reputation has gone from drab to fab! Finally the rest of Canada is seeing what we do: Ottawa is a truly awesome place to live!

“Ottawa benefits from being fairly stable while other cities have slipped back in key areas. Ottawa earns high marks for incomes, transportation, access to health care and low taxes. And while Ottawa’s average home price of $422,000 might not sound cheap to many Canadians, its affordability score is on par with cities half its size.” -MoneySense
